Although a text is does'nt super clear, it appears that the U.S. Constitution is still in effect, and that Canada voluntarily joined the Union in the late 20th/earth 21st century. Soccer and baseball appear to be a virtually all popular sports, while a Metric system is employed within television weather outlook. Washington, D.C. is the capital city.
